To celebrate the upcoming International Day of Yoga, Patanjali Japan Foundation will be hosting various events across Japan over the course of 4 days!
What is International Day of Yoga?
International day of yoga is celebrated annually on the 21st of June, coinciding with the summer solstice. In many cultures, the summer solstice holds special significance and is considered a time of transition, renewal, and spiritual awakening, making it an ideal day to celebrate yoga.
Proposed by India, International Day of Yoga has been celebrated worldwide since 2015, it aims to bring light to the many benefits yoga has to offer. On this day, many people around the world practice yoga in communal spaces, and the event itself is supported by 175 member states.
Purpose of Our Events
Yoga practice is a holistic discipline that supports an individual in leading a better and balanced life. In a mission to make yoga available to each individual as a part of their daily routine, just like eating, taking a bath, or sleeping, Patanjali Japan Foundation, like every other year, plans to celebrate the International Day of Yoga on a grand scale.
It is our motive to preserve ancient yogic knowledge and create more and more opportunities for students and teachers. To maximize our audience, we will be conducting our events at multiple locations, including Tokyo, Yamanashi, and Aichi Prefecture. We also plan to invite brilliant guest teachers to honor the event.
