Our Contribution in Event
The yoga shivir, organized by the Patanjali Japan Foundation, was a journey that aimed to promote physical and mental well-being through the practice of traditional yoga asanas and meditation techniques. Varada Sensei, Ashutosh Sensei, and Dhanashree Sensei, renowned for their expertise in yoga & pranayama, led participants through a series of practices designed to harmonise the mind, body, and spirit.
The shivir commenced with Sukshma Vyayam, a set of gentle warm-up exercises aimed at enhancing flexibility and muscle strength. Participants were then guided through the renowned Surya Namaskar, a sequence of postures dedicated to the sun, which revitalises the body and infuses it with positive energy. The practice of Kapal Bhati, a breathing technique known for its cleansing and rejuvenating effects, was also incorporated to enhance the overall experience.
The shivir continued with Anulom-Vilom, a pranayama practice that involves alternate nostril breathing, which aids in balancing the body's vital energy. Bhramari, a humming bee breath technique, was introduced to reduce stress and calm the mind. The session concluded with meditation and the recitation of mantras, creating a serene and meditative atmosphere that allowed participants to connect with their inner selves.
The highlight of the event was Varada Sensei leading a prayer dedicated to the teachings of Patanjali, emphasizing the importance of the yoga sutras and their significance in modern life. The collective energy and focus of the participants added a sense of unity and purpose to the shivir. Adding a mesmerizing touch to the event, Sashihara San played the tabla, infusing the atmosphere with the rhythmic beats that resonated with the yoga practitioners, creating a harmonious backdrop for their practice.
The event at Biotipia witnessed a diverse group of participants, including yoga enthusiasts, beginners, and individuals seeking a path to a healthier lifestyle. The foundation's efforts to create a nurturing and inclusive space for yoga were well-received by all attendees.
Patanjali Japan Foundation extends its gratitude to Varada Sensei, Ashutosh Sensei, and Dhanashree Sensei for their exceptional guidance and wisdom, and to all the participants for their enthusiastic participation. And most importantly, we would like to express our special thanks to CEO BioTOPIA Ms Ogawa Hiroko, for your presence and wonderful messages.
