October 11–13 Lifestyle Reset Retreat @ Yamanakako – Three Days to Return to Yourself

— Reset Your Lifestyle and Return to Yourself —

During the three-day weekend of October 2025, surrounded by the rich nature of Yamanakako, we held a special retreat titled ā€œLifestyle Reset.ā€The theme of this program was: ā€œCreate your own yoga sequence and make it a part of your daily habit.ā€

Day 1: The Beginning of Reset

The retreat began with some delay due to heavy traffic on the holiday weekend, but everyone arrived safely, carrying both anticipation and a hint of nervousness. After a gentle orientation, participants enjoyed a warm soup made from lentils and beans—an easily digestible meal prepared to help the body begin its reset journey.

Introductions followed, where each participant shared their purpose for joining. Slowly, hearts began to open and connect.

In the afternoon, we held a Yoga and Lifestyle Manual Workshop. Through ā€œTraditional Yoga,ā€ we explored how yoga can be a tool to convey life’s wisdom. Using the Ayurvedic DoshaĀ diagnostic results, everyone learned about their unique body type and rhythms, gaining deeper self-understanding.

Dinner was a light yet nourishing meal, followed by an unforgettable experience—Trataka (Candle Meditation). In a quiet room, participants focused on the flame, purifying their minds through stillness. As the flickering light reflected in their eyes, many found peace and inner calm before drifting to sleep around 9:30 p.m.

Day 2: Aligned with Mount Fuji, Aligned with Myself

The morning sky was clear and radiant, as if blessing the day ahead. After a breakfast of kichariĀ (a blend of rice and lentils) and seasonal fruits, everyone felt recharged and energized from within.

Later, we took a mindful nature walk. As we descended from the mountain path, the majestic view of Mount Fuji appeared—tall, clear, and inspiring awe among all. At that moment, everyone felt the deep stillness of ā€œliving in the present.ā€

Lunch was a balanced meal of chickpea sabji rice and cabbage salad—light yet rich in protein, vitamins, and fiber.

The afternoon was free time for journaling and self-reflection. By writing their thoughts, participants reconnected with their inner voice.

Those staying for two nights created their own personal ā€œGolden Hour Sequenceā€ā€”a yoga flow suited to their rhythm and energy. Each practiced at their own pace, receiving gentle guidance from Aman-sensei. Evening descended quietly over the lake, painting the sky with warm hues of sunset.

After dinner, participants experienced Yoga Nidra—guided deep relaxation, melting away fatigue and filling the body with tranquility. At 9:00 p.m., the day concluded with peaceful sleep.

Day 3: Returning to Myself – A Fresh Restart

The final morning began with Pranayama (breathing exercises)Ā and Neti (nasal cleansing), one of yoga’s traditional purification practices. For many, it was their first time experiencing Neti, and their surprised laughter filled the room.

Afterward, everyone practiced gentle breathing and movements under the clear morning sky, feeling the body and mind refreshed with new energy.

Breakfast was papadĀ served with seasonal fruits and chickpea curry—a delightful start to the day.

The morning session focused on introspection and personal growth. Participants revisited their self-created yoga sequence, received individual feedback, and felt renewed motivation to continue their ā€œGolden Hourā€ at home.

Lunch marked the closing of the retreat—a hearty bowl of lentil and bean kichari, shared with gratitude and smiles.

As the program came to an end, participants spent quiet moments realigning their thoughts and preparing to return home—peaceful, centered, and light-hearted.

Beyond the Reset

This retreat was not merely a time of healing—it was a true restart, a conscious journey of rediscovery. To live happily means to live sincerely with yourself, to keep promises you make to your own heart, and to cherish the simple joys—good food, warm smiles, and shared laughter.

Through these simple yet powerful experiences, everyone felt a deep sense of strength and connection.

With Gratitude

To all who joined the Lifestyle Reset Retreat, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are always waiting for you at Yamanakako, where nature gently holds space for transformation.

Even when you return to daily life, may you carry the sense of balance and serenity you found here—and live positively, with clarity and courage.

Thus, the three-day Lifestyle Reset RetreatĀ came to a peaceful close. Until the next season, see you again at Yamanakako.

With gratitude,
