第2回国際アジア・ヨーガアーサナスポーツチャンピオンシップ大会で日本が第2位を獲得！
― 日本チームにとって歴史的な前進 ―
2025年4月27日、インドラ・ガンディースタジアム（ニューデリー）にて開催された「第2回国際アジア・ヨーガアーサナスポーツチャンピオンシップ大会」において、日本が国別総合順位でなんと第2位を獲得しました！
今大会は、アジア・ヨーガアーサナの主催のもと、ヨーガアーサナ・バラト（インド）が開催。アジア大陸の21カ国から集まった450人以上の選手が参加し、ヨーガアーサナをスポーツとして実現するための各国の努力と激動が絶えませんでした。
大会は、世界ヨーガアーサナの支援のもと、オリンピック連盟認定の下で開催。インド政府のスポーツ看衛省、スポーツ官僚機構の完全な支援を受け、ジュニア、シニア、シニアA、シニアBなどの88イベントが行われました。
大会ハイライト（全体概要）
本大会は、アジアヨーガアーサナ（OCA＝アジア・オリンピック評議会認定）の主催、ワールドヨーガアーサナ傘下のヨーガアーサナ・バーラト（インド）による開催となりました。
インド政府青少年・スポーツ省およびインドスポーツ庁（SAI）の支援を受けて実施されました。
2025年4月25日〜27日にわたり、年齢・スキル別に分かれた88の競技種目が開催されました。
特筆すべきは、女性アスリートの参加が男性を大きく上回ったこと。女性：302名、男性：174名の出場となりました。

チャンピオンシップ 順位ハイライト
第1位：インド
インドは83個の金メダルを含む計87個のメダル（83金・3銀・1銅）を獲得。ヨーガアーサナ競技における圧倒的な強さと層の厚さを証明しました。
第2位：日本
日本は金3・銀3・銅4の合計10個のメダルを獲得し、1stランナーアップ（準優勝）という快挙を達成。競技ヨーガアーサナ国としてのスタート期において、歴史的な成果となりました。
第3位：モンゴル
モンゴルは金1・銀11・銅6の計18個のメダルを獲得し、技術力と安定感を示して堂々の第3位に輝きました。
第4位・第5位：オマーンとネパール
ネパールは計39個、ウズベキスタンは26個のメダルを獲得しましたが、金メダル数が順位に大きく影響。勝利の質が量を上回るという結果となりました。

本大会において、日本ヨーガアーサナ・スポーツ連盟（JYSF）は公式な国際デビューを果たしました。JYSFの代表団は、審判員・コーチ・新規加入アスリートを含むチームで構成され、誠実な姿勢とスポーツマンシップをもって日本を代表しました。
技術と透明性の導入
今年度の選手権では、YUGAおよびWorld Yogasanaによるタイム・スコアリング＆リザルト（TSR）システムが導入され、リアルタイムで透明性のある採点が実現されました。
大会前に開催された技術ワークショップでは、48名の認定審判員（日本からの参加者含む）が新しい採点プロトコルのトレーニングを受けました。

今後の展望：
第3回アジア・ヨーガアーサナ・スポーツ選手権（2027年）の開催地について、モンゴル、香港、マレーシアより正式な開催希望の申請があり、国際的な関心の高まりが鮮明となりました。

Japan Clinches 1st Runner-Up at 2nd Asian Yogasana Sports Championship 2025
—A Historic Moment for Team Japan in the International Yogasana Arena—
The 2nd Asian Yogasana Sports Championship 2025 concluded on April 27 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi, with Japan making history by securing the 1st Runner-Up position in overall country ranking. This prestigious event hosted 21 Asian nations and over 450 athletes, showcasing the rising global momentum behind Yogasana as a competitive sport.
Organized by Asian Yogasana (recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia) and hosted by Yogasana Bharat, the event was supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and the Sports Authority of India (SAI). A total of 88 events across Junior, Senior, Senior A, and Senior B categories were conducted between April 25–27, 2025.

Organized by Asian Yogasana (recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia) and hosted by Yogasana Bharat under the aegis of World Yogasana
Supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India and the Sports Authority of India (SAI)
Held from 25th–27th April 2025, featuring 88 competitive events in multiple age and skill categories
Female Participation Led the Way: 302 female athletes participated vs. 174 male athletes
Championship Ranking Highlights
1st Place – India
India dominated the championship with a total of 87 medals, including 83 Gold, 3 Silver, and 1 Bronze — a testament to their depth and dominance in Yogasana.
2nd Place – Japan
Japan stood tall as 1st Runner-Up with 3 Gold, 3 Silver, and 4 Bronze, marking a historic achievement for the Japanese team in their early journey as a competitive Yogasana nation.
3rd Place – Mongolia
Mongolia secured 3rd place with 1 Gold, 11 Silver, and 6 Bronze, showing strength in technique and consistency.
4th & 5th – Oman and Nepal
Despite Nepal’s 39 medals and Uzbekistan’s 26 medals, lower gold counts affected their rankings — showing that the quality of victory matters more than quantity alone.

All athletes were supported by the Japan Yogasana Sports Federation (JYSF), which made its official debut at this championship. The JYSF delegation included judges, coaches, and newly joined athletes from Japan, representing the country with dedication and sportsmanship.
Technology and Transparency:
This year’s championship introduced the Time Scoring & Result (TSR) system, powered by YUGA and World Yogasana, ensuring real-time transparent scoring. A pre-event technical workshop trained 48 certified judges, including participants from Japan, in the new judging protocol.
