2025年8月15日、インド独立記念日という特別な日に、一般社団法人パタンジャリ・ジャパン・ファウンデーション（PJF）とYogiFiは、日本市場におけるYogiFiスマートヨガマットの展開に向けた覚書（MoU）を正式に締結いたしました。

本パートナーシップは、単なるビジネス協力ではなく、両者が掲げるビジョンの一致を示すものです。PJFとYogiFiは共に、「ゼロ・ストレス、ゼロ・うつ、ゼロ自殺の社会」を目指し、ヨガを日常生活に取り入れることを使命としています。

YogiFiスマートヨガマットは、古代の叡智と最新テクノロジーの融合によって誕生した、インド発の革新的な製品です。センサーを内蔵し、専用のモバイルアプリと連動することで、以下のようなリアルタイムデータを提供します：

• アーサナ（ポーズ）の正確性とバランス

• 消費カロリー

• 姿勢の安定性と強度

• 長期的な進捗記録

この革新は、ヨガ実践者だけでなく、指導者にも大きなメリットをもたらします。インストラクターは生徒のフォームを遠隔で確認・指導でき、個人は自身の成長を数値で把握することが可能になります。

出会いのきっかけ – Sushi Tech Tokyoから始まった物語

この協力関係は、2025年5月9日に東京で開催されたSushi Tech Tokyoでの偶然の出会いから始まりました。

PJF代表のアシュトシュ氏は、特に準備もなく、気軽な気持ちでこのイベントに参加し、多くの新しい出会いや再会を楽しんでいました。その後、流れのままに参加したアフターパーティーの一つ、Tokyo Innovation Base（TIB）で、YogiFiのムラリ氏と出会います。

会話が始まってわずか1分で、ムラリ氏はYogiFiスマートヨガマットを紹介。ヨガとアーユルヴェーダの原理、そして最先端テクノロジーが融合したこの製品は、まさにPJFが日本に届けたいと考えていたものでした。

山中湖での交流 – ビジョンの共有

この出会いをきっかけに、ムラリ氏はPJFの拠点である山中湖のDEN（Kesari Houseのビジョンの元）を訪問しました。ここでは「健康工場」として、ヨガ・ウェルネス・イノベーションを融合させ、日本の人々の健康的なライフスタイルを支える拠点づくりが進んでいます。

話し合いの中で、両者の使命は異なる強みを持ちながらも、目指す方向が同じであることが明らかになりました。力を合わせることで、ヨガとデータに基づくウェルネスを通じて、多くの人々の生活を向上させることが可能になります。

今後の展開 – YogiFi、日本デビューへ

YogiFiスマートヨガマットは、今年開催されるヨガフェスタ2025にて日本初公開されます。

このマットを使用することで、

• データによる進捗管理

• 数値で見えるモチベーション向上

が可能になります。ヨガ指導者にとっては、生徒が正しくアーサナを行っているかを確認でき、より高品質な指導が可能となります。

Patanjali Japan Foundation & YogiFi Sign MoU to Bring Smart Yoga Mats to Japan

On 15th August 2025, a day that marks the Independence Day of India, Patanjali Japan Foundation (PJF) and YogiFi entered into a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch the YogiFi Smart Yoga Mat in Japan.

This partnership is not just a business collaboration — it is a mission alignment. Both PJF and YogiFi share the vision of building a zero stress, zero depression, zero suicide society by integrating yoga into everyone’s daily lifestyle.

YogiFi’s Smart Yoga Mat is a pioneering indigenous innovation from Bharat — blending ancient wisdom with modern technology. Equipped with embedded sensors and connected to a mobile app, the mat provides real-time feedback on:

• Asana accuracy and balance

• Calories burned

• Posture strength and stability

• Progress tracking over time

This innovation empowers both practitioners and teachers — allowing instructors to monitor their students’ form remotely and helping individuals track their own journey with data-driven insights.

How the Journey Began – A Chance Meeting at Sushi Tech Tokyo

This collaboration began in the most unexpected way on May 9th, 2025.

That day, our Founder & Representative Director, Ashutosh sensei went to the Sushi Tech Tokyo event with no agenda, no preparation, and no expectations — simply to observe and meet people. One conversation led to another, and he eventually found himself at Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) during an after-party.

It was there, amid the music and crowd, that he met Murali San from YogiFi. Within the first minute of talking, Murali san introduced him to the YogiFi Smart Yoga Mat — a product made in Bharat that combined everything Ashutosh sensei had envisioned: yoga, Ayurveda principles, and cutting-edge technology.

Ashutosh sensei was amazed. This was exactly the kind of indigenous tech he had been dreaming of bringing to Japan — a tool to measure balance, posture accuracy, strength, calorie burn, and more, all in real time. The moment felt like it was orchestrated by a higher power to accelerate our mission.

From Tokyo to Yamanakako – Building the Connection

Following that first meeting, Ashutosh sensei invited Murali San to Yamanakako, our base known as DEN — the heart of our Kesari House vision. Here, we are building what we call the “health factory” — a place where yoga, wellness, and innovation merge to serve Japan’s growing need for healthy living.

The discussions revealed that our missions were deeply aligned, though we came with different strengths. By combining them, we could create powerful synergy to transform lives through yoga and data-driven wellness.

The Road Ahead – YogiFi in Japan

The YogiFi Smart Yoga Mat will make its Japan debut at Yoga Fest 2025 this year, giving the public an opportunity to experience it firsthand.

With YogiFi, practitioners will:

• Track progress through data

• Stay motivated with measurable results

For yoga teachers, it will be a tool to ensure students are performing asanas correctly, even remotely — enabling higher teaching quality and better outcomes.
