認定ヨーガ講師育成の一歩：インド政府AYUSH省認定「YCBヨーガ試験」を東京で実施

2025年8月2日、日本国内でインド政府の公式資格であるプロフェッショナル・ヨーガ試験（Yoga Certification Board: YCB）が東京で実施されました。

この試験は、日本ヨガ検定協会（Japan Yoga Certification Association）が主催し、インド政府AYUSH省より正式に認定された日本国内唯一の実施団体として行われたものです。

今回の試験には、（一社）パタンジャリ・ジャパンファウンデーション 代表のアシュトシュ先生と、Veda CenterのTodo先生が試験官として参加し、さらにAikata先生がオンラインで試験官として加わりました。

アシュトシュ先生は、当日の朝6時30分から山中湖のXIVリゾートでヨーガ指導を行い、その後すぐに東京へ移動。インド政府の認定資格制度を通じて、質の高いヨーガ教育を日本で広めたいという強い信念のもと、熱意を持って試験に臨まれました。

Todo先生は、ブログ記事 (https://ameblo.jp/vedacenter-jp/entry-12920355798.html) で試験当日の様子を丁寧に綴っており、伝統的なインドヨーガの深い知識と確かな実践力が求められること、そして受験者の真剣な姿勢が印象的だったと述べています。

試験は東京スカイツリーを望む錦糸町近くの静かなスタジオにて実施され、受験者3名が筆記および実技試験に真摯に取り組みました。

今後について、アシュトシュ先生からは「複数名での合同試験を定期的に開催し、認定制度を広めていきたい」との提案もあり、次回はリード・エグザミナー（主任試験官）としての実施を検討されています。

Promoting Authentic Yoga Education: Ministry of AYUSH YCB Exam Conducted in Tokyo

On August 2, 2025, another important step was taken toward promoting authentic and qualified yoga education in Japan.

The 21st Professional Yoga Certification Exam, officially recognized by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, was successfully conducted in Tokyo. The exam was organized by the Japan Yoga Certification Association (日本ヨガ検定協会), the only body in Japan authorized by the Indian government to host these professional-level exams under the Yoga Certification Board (YCB).

This time, Ashutosh Sensei, Director of Patanjali Japan Foundation and Todo Sensei from Veda Center were invited as examiners, joined by Aikata Sensei, who participated online.

Ashutosh Sensei began his day with a morning yoga session at XIV Resort Yamanakako at 6:30 AM and then traveled from Yamanashi to Tokyo to serve as the examiner. His commitment to quality yoga education and support for nationally recognized qualifications was evident throughout the day. As he emphasized, supporting such structured and authentic certification systems will uplift the overall standards of yoga teachers in Japan.

Todo Sensei beautifully summarized the experience in his blog (https://ameblo.jp/vedacenter-jp/entry-12920355798.html), reflecting on the seriousness and dedication required in the practical evaluation, and the passion of all involved. The exam took place at a serene studio near Kinshicho with a view of Tokyo Skytree, creating an atmosphere of focus and respect.

A total of three dedicated candidates took part in this session, and the team successfully completed both the written and practical components of the certification.

Looking ahead, Ashutosh Sensei also proposed a new idea: to organize future exams with multiple candidates together under one coordinated plan, and he has expressed his interest in serving as the Lead Examiner for such sessions.
