山中湖ロードレース2025 ー ランニング・ヨーガ・そして地域の絆！

今年で第45回を迎えた伝統的な「スポニチ山中湖ロードレース大会」が、2025年5月25日（日）に開催され、全国から約9,000人以上のランナーが山中湖に集まりました。富士山を背景に、湖を一周する爽快なコースで健康と挑戦を楽しむ姿は、この大会が日本でも有数の人気イベントであることを物語っています。

私たち一般社団法人Patanjali Japan Foundation（PJF）は、昨年（2024年）に続いて今年も参加。会場のゴール近くにブースを出展し、ヨガサナスポーツチャンピオンシップのトロフィーを展示しながら、日本における「競技としてのヨガ」の普及を目指して活動を行いました。また、A Better Lifestyleブランドの手織りヨーガラグも紹介し、多くの来場者が関心を寄せてくださいました。

当日は強い雨に見舞われましたが、私たちは終日ブースに立ち、笑顔と温かさで来場者と交流を続けました。中でも、由美さんが湖を1周（13km）完走したことは大きなハイライトでした。アショトシュ先生も出走予定でしたが、当日はブース対応に集中し、多くの方々に製品や活動を紹介しました。

きららスポーツフェスティバル – 雨に阻まれた美しい計画

ロードレースの前日である2025年5月24日（土）には、山中湖交流プラザきららにて、MIZUNOスポーツと山中湖村の共同主催による「きららスポーツフェスティバル」が開催予定でした。

PJFは当イベントで4回のヨーガセッションを予定しており、その中にはヨガサナのスポーツデモンストレーションも含まれていました。このデモンストレーションは、アショトシュ先生の娘であるヒマリによって振付され、楽曲「はい よろこんで」に合わせて芸術的に演出されたものでした。

しかし、残念ながら前日からの雨の影響により、土曜日のスポーツフェスティバルは中止となってしまいました。それでも情熱は失われず、ヒマリのヨガサナデモンストレーションは後日、PJFの拠点であるDEN（時の部屋）で撮影され、その様子を記録に残すことができました。

なお、このフェスティバルは2025年秋に再開催予定とのこと。MIZUNOスポーツや山中湖村とのコラボレーションを再び楽しみにしています。

これからもつながる健康の輪

山中湖ロードレースは、単なる競技大会ではなく、健康・調和・つながりの祭典です。PJFはこの素晴らしい地域イベントに参加できたことを誇りに思います。

Yamanakako Road Race 2025 – Running, Yoga, and Community Spirit!

The iconic Yamanakako Road Race celebrated its 45th anniversary this year on May 25, 2025 (Sunday), drawing over 9,000 runners from across the country to the beautiful shores of Lake Yamanakako. With Mt. Fuji standing tall in the background and runners circling the lake in a spirit of health and endurance, this event continues to be one of the most anticipated community races in Japan.

This year, Patanjali Japan Foundation (PJF) joined the celebration once again, continuing our participation that began in 2024. We set up our booth near the finish area, proudly showcasing the Yogasana Sports Championship trophy and promoting the vision of Yogasana as a competitive sport in Japan. Alongside this, we also presented our handmade yoga rugs from the A Better Lifestyle brand, attracting many curious and supportive visitors.

Despite heavy rain on Sunday, our team stayed committed and engaged, sharing smiles, stories, and warmth with the participants and guests. One of the highlights was seeing Yumi run the full 13 km around the lake, embodying the spirit of perseverance and healthy living. Ashutosh, although scheduled to run, focused on supporting visitors at the booth and coordinating promotions.

Kirara Sports Festival – A Beautiful Plan Interrupted by Rain

In collaboration with Mizuno Sports and Yamanakako Village, the day before the race (May 24, 2025, Saturday) was supposed to host the Kirara Sports Festival at Yamanakako Kirara Communication Plaza (山中湖交流プラザきらら).

PJF was invited to conduct four yoga sessions, including a special Yogasana sports demonstration choreographed by Himali. The performance, set to the song "Hai Yorokonde", was an artistic expression of Yogasana as a sport and a form of celebration.

Unfortunately, due to heavy rain, the entire festival was canceled on Saturday. But the spirit was not lost! Himali’s Yogasana demonstration was later recorded at our studio space DEN (Toki no Heya) to preserve and share the effort and passion she poured into it.

We are now in discussion for the festival to be rescheduled for autumn 2025, and we look forward to continuing this wonderful collaboration with Mizuno Sports and Yamanakako Village.

Yamanakako Road Race is more than a competition—it is a festival of health, harmony, and connection. PJF is proud to contribute to this evolving community celebration, where modern sports meet traditional wellness.
